My sweet little 12-and-a-half months old Rose walked for the first time today! She held on to my fingers (my index finger on each hand), and we walked together from the office to the bedroom with her giggling the whole time. Then she let go, bounced up and down a little bit, and decided to walk on her own. She walked about five feet and then turned toward the dresser and pulled open a drawer. Then she turned and sat down to play with a Cinderella carriage toy that Lily had left on the floor. I was so happy and excited. She's taken a few little steps in the past, going from one thing to another almost within reach, but this time she was just walking with nothing around to grab onto. It was so amazing. She was obviously proud of herself, too.
